Adobe Launch Designers' Web Tool

Adobe Launch Designers' Web Tool // 21.08.2011

Adobe have continued to try and expand their increasing monopoly of the design industry market, this week revealing a public beta of new software aimed at graphic designers.

Muse, the existing code name, is designed to allow designers to produce and publish professional, HTML websites without needing to write code or hold back when designing their templates.

Muse attempts to maximise creativity in design and allows for advanced interactivity through widgets and other such tools, losing the issues of restrictive templates.

Adobe's vice-president of Design and Web product management, Lea Hickman, said, "The ability to build websites as easily as laying out a page in InDesign is one of the most popular requests from our design customers."

It is understood that the software aims to make this a reality, with testers so far revealing their delight that something so powerful and intuitive can now be available.

The software makes use of sitemaps, master pages, InDesign functionality when it comes to design, customizable widgets, slideshows, HTML embedding from Google Maps, YouTube and Facebook and also the option to host test sites to send to clients via Adobe.
