Anne Wilson's 'Winding Through the City'

The 2011 Serco Prize for Illustration has announced their winners - Anne Wilson of Ascension Island scooping up the top prize of £2000 for her piece, 'Winding Through the City' (pictured right).

The theme of the River Thames was revealed by the London Transport Museum alongside the Association of Illustrators with entries being asked to include the iconic river as being central to both London and life within the capital city.

Alongside this, however, a representation of London's other modes of transport was wanted that still fits in with the competition's overall aim of colourfully portraying the Thames as an exciting place.

Illustrators of the top three entries will receive a monetary prize and the possibility of their design being used by the London Transport Museum in advertising and promotions, whilst they will also showcase the top fifty entries in an exhibition at their upcoming museum.
